Varnish Controller 5.3.0 Release

Note: All components needs to be upgraded for this release, see versioning.

The release includes bug fixes and improvements.

  • The traffic router default systemd file now has a LimitNOFILE set to 200000. This is to support a large number of connections towards the router.
  • Improvements to file rollback functionality
  • Improved performance for database queries
  • Router logs for utilization of endpoints now includes the current utilization and the configured limit.
  • vcli now support --clear-health-headers for RoutingRules, to clear existing health-headers.
  • A new description endpoint added, to show counter descriptions (vcli with verbose (-v) now includes descriptions for statistics).
  • Prometheus statistics via the controller now includes router and domain.
  • Reject account locking of users own account.
  • UI: Introduced descriptions for counters used in dashboard widgets.
  • UI: Introduced a new view with account logs.
  • UI: Improvements to all logs for resources.
  • UI: Improvements to error handling dashboard widgets.
  • UI: Improvements to validation regarding ipv4 and ipv6.
  • UI: Improvements to draft/deployed switch in a VCLGroup.
  • UI: Improvements how we handle latency.
  • UI: Improvements on how we handle nested includes.
  • UI: Improvements when deploying a VCLGroup that has files shared with other VCLGroups.
  • UI: Fixed a bug in editor switching between draft and deployed.
  • UI: Fixed a bug in dashboard widget where tags would be removed when edited.
