Varnish Cache Plus 6.0.1r1 Release

Published September 20, 2018.

About the release

This update of Varnish Cache Plus 6 contains a high number of bug fixes and improvements. With this release we also makes Varnish 6 available to more customers than the Limited Availability version 6.0.0, and we expect very few problems for those who upgrade from Varnish Cache Plus 4.1 versions. Recompiling VMODs and external tools is necessary, and in most cases the code will work unmodified. Customers upgrading from Limited Availability versions (6.0.0 variants) should also recompile to be on the safe side.

VCLs will typically work unmodified with the new version, but if you need Unix Domain Sockets support, you need to change the VCL version at the top of your VCL.

The new and improved version of MSE is done, but not included in this release. Some selected customers has gotten access, and Varnish Software is following the testing closely.

The change log for the release will be made available soon. It contains all fixes in Varnish Cache 6.0.1 plus many fixes and improvements in Plus features.
